the battle of getysburg was one of great loss. It was the turning point for the war and is one of the bloodiest battles. The battle went on for 3 days. There were 40,000 wounded and 11,000 killed. This was a total of 51,000 casualties in total, which is about 20 times th population of the town of gettysburg. So if you divide the total number of casualties by the 3 days the battle took, that means that it was a rate of 17,000 casualties a day. That is just shocking./// Ibrahim
