Wampanoag Homesite

This is a native taking the bark off some wood so she can weave a basket.

Plimouth Plantation

This is how a pilgrim would look.

This wampanoag person is separating bark from cedar wood so she can use the wood to make baskets. Basket making is a traditional art of the wampanoag people.

Toys R Us!!! (Henry)

That was by far the coolest toy store ever.  There was a ferriswheel that was totally epic and huge.  Dude.  There was also a winks store, video games, a bunch of legos, and much more.

Times Square

This is the tourist trap of America, but it is so fun to see all the ads, lights, and pedestrians.

In new york!. Looks like this will b fun

Concord Minuteman

This is a statue of a real minuteman. This statue can be found at the Northbridge.

We went on a bus from boston to new york. On the way, we stopped at plymoth rock and on we went. I like the bus a lot actually, i just lay down and enjoy the beautiful scenery outside. It feels cam and i have time to catch up with friends. I also liked when they turned on the movie the bus is fun.
Boston is a very interesting and important city and is very crucial in the American Revolution and American history in general.  We have seen many important places such as Lexington, Concord, and the scene of the Battle of the North Bridge.  We also have scene the north church, where there was a lantern that would show wether or not the british would come by land or by sea.  I would rather not live in Boston because of the temperature.  Although, it
does have a lot of historical significance.  - Jesse

After visiting the interesting Amish and Native American villages, we set off to New York.  We are currently in Connecticut.  -Hunter

Off to New York!

Currently we are driving to New York and we're in Connecticut.  WooHoo!!!!

Paul Revere's Grave

Paul Revere was famous mainly because of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem. This is his grave, it is right next to his wife.

Freedom Trail

A narrow red brick trail winds through downtown Boston linking historical points of interest. In the afternoon, our tour guide provided us the story and significance of many stopping points along Boston's Freedom Trail.  Over 200 years later and these sites are treasured remnants; embraced as part of our shared story of freedom. To see and experience them easily takes you back in time, despite the modern surroundings. The old cobblestones tells the generations of Americans who have also treaded in the same streets as those that defined our common ideals.  The Freedom Trail speaks for the Sons of Liberty, whose story should be listened by all Americans.   -G

This is plymouth rock. It is named after a city in England. It is famous because it was here when the pilgrams came to America on the Mayflower. The rock used to be a lot bigger but many people took pieces of it so its now caged up. -lindsey

Lexington Minuteman

The Lexington Minuteman is not actually a minuteman. He is actually part of the miltia.

Plymouth (Henry)

Plymouth was extremely fun.  All the actors did a fantastic job reinacting their role and answering questions.  After going outside the made up village of Plymouth, we visited the native americans which was reaaly cool to see how they lived.  Then, we actually got to see the actual Plymouth rock.  Very cool.

17th Century Blacksmith

This settler at Plimouth Plantation demonstrates early metalworking. Lots of work went into making just one large nail spike. He was also reworking a hinge. Amazing to think about the amount of labor involved in building a settlement from raw materials. -G

A wanpomong Native American.

we just visited the plimouth plantation. We visted the pilgrim village and walked and talk to the pilgrims. They were nice and spoke in 17th century english. some of the pilgrims were educated. Others were farmers/skilled workers.

The reason that wampanoag huts don't fill with smoke when a fire is lit inside is that there is a hole cut in the top of the hut. Since smoke is so warm, it is less dense than the air around it, causing it to rise up and out of the hole.
Sophie. Science.
The blacksmith had an air pump next to the fire, the oxegyn heated up the fire to make the iron hot enough to bend. it was easy because metal is a good conductor of heat. ~sara harju (science)

The Granary

Named after an adjacent grain storage building, The Granary cemetery is the final resting place of many defining Americans. The site is rather unusual among the surrounding cityscape but serves as reminder of our foundations of our nation. -G

Boston State house.
my experiance in Boston was great! we got to see historic places such as lexington and concord.

Boston (Henry)

Boston and D.C. will probably be my favorate towns on the trip.  Boston is fall of life, with its rich history, the old brick buildings, and the winding rivers.  I will definitely miss this town, which is always full of life.  All the wharfs were cool to see, but the best part was definitely the history.  It was amazing to see all the historic sites, from Paul Revere's cemetery to where the revolutionary began, at Lexington and Concord.

Moblogging Our Boston Reflections
